Anxiety is not just “being sad” or “dealing with a bad mood. “It presents itself mainly as stress disproportionate to the expected outcome of the event and the inability to put aside concerns. In real life scenarios, you would worry so much that your head could start to hurt, your happiness would run out and you would be unable to focus on simple and complex daily tasks.
Although anxiety is often controlled and treated with therapy and medication, psychologists believe that positive thinking is one of the most effective lifestyle changes to combat this condition in the long run. Positive thoughts are as powerful as negative ones that limit your freedom. If you could develop the mental drive to overcome negativity, you would find yourself flourishing better than ever.
For example, you have a job interview coming up. You start to worry about how badly you can do, imagining all the worst possible scenarios in your head. You may end up convincing yourself not to go. It won't be easy to turn off our negative thoughts in the beginning. Human beings are programmed to detect danger and embrace concern. When we feel threatened, either by a physical situation or a future event, the brain secretes cortisol into the bloodstream and unleashes that overwhelming sense of fear and exhaustion. Cortisol is known primarily as the stress hormone, which immediately puts you in a fight / flight state - sometimes, unnecessarily.  You were too terrified to take this step and, for the most part, we step back to avoid disappointment. After a few recurrences, this becomes an automatic response and we would fall into a destructive pattern.
Positive thinking helps you to ignore the debilitating effects of negativity, and here are 7 main notes to keep in mind when making this mindset change:
1. You need to STOP thinking negatively.
This is the most difficult part, but also the most important. If you ask anyone who has dealt with severe anxiety before, they will say that their biggest problem is getting their thoughts to stop flowing in their mind. This covers him painfully and spreads throughout all aspects of his life. All you see is negativity - dangerous "what ifs" that leave you too terrified to make any move.

Many people's anxiety scenarios revolve around personal failure. Failure in life, in career, with friends and family, and with responsibilities and obligations. People can also develop chronic anxiety by worrying about failure in the simplest situations.
The best way to defeat this fear is to believe in success. Make sure you invest time, work, effort and dedication, and it will work. Failure begins in the mind, but so does success. Self-confidence takes time to build, but it is cultivated with a single positive thought. I can do this, I will do this and I will do this. Never let fear of failure stop you reaching your goals. Believe in yourself and you will be halfway there.
6. Redefine personal concepts
The way you see and visualize yourself is much more important than what others think. People can see you as a determined, confident and dedicated personality, but if you believe you don't deserve to be described with those qualities, then that's what matters.
Selling poorly has serious implications for your mental health and long-term happiness. Self-image is as important as reputation, and it's up to you to keep it positive.
